PPC CANDIDATES PARTED WAYS IN CEBU
People Power Coalition (PPC) Senatorial candidates
of the ruling People Power Coalition (PPC) admitted they went on
their own ways during their Cebu campaign.
In spite of this, they are looking forward to a 13-0
sweep for administration bets here in Cebu and are banking primarily
on the strong support of ex-governor Lito Osmeņa's Promdi Party.
However, an insider to the campaign revealed that
candidates are providing for their own campaign funds which automatically
resulted in the individual campaign pursuits of the senatoriables
themselves as of the moment.

SPECIAL VOTERS REGISTRATION BARRED
According to COMELEC Commissioner Rex Borra, the proposed
special registration for youth voters are hindered primary because
of legal and logistics requirements.
R.A. 8589 provides that no registration can occur
100 days before the elections. While on the logistics side, manpower
and operational concerns like the necessary staffing of election
and field officials would be impossible at this time since most
are already busy in the preparation for the coming polls.
Mr. Borra issued the statement in relation to a growing
clamor mounted by certain sectors who are pushing for the special
registration of youth voters who failed to register during the regular
period
